Maduka University, particularly in entrepreneurship. He noted that ICAN
has established an Entrepreneurial Development Centre aimed at
equipping members with the necessary skills to become successful
entrepreneurs.
He encouraged the university to leverage ICAN’s expertise in areas such
as:
Development of its Department of Accountancy,
Accreditation and re-accreditation processes, and
Other academic and professional collaborations.
Additionally, Abuguja sought the university’s support in sponsoring
relevant staff and officers to ICAN conferences. He also requested
sponsorship, goodwill messages, and advertisement placements in
support of the upcoming 19th Eastern Zonal Accountants Conference in
Umuahia.
In response, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Charles Ogbulogo, welcomed
the partnership, assuring ICAN of the university’s commitment to
meaningful collaboration.
“We will not fail on our part, and I am sure you will not fail too. By
combining what we have at Maduka University with your expertise, we
can build a strong synergy that is difficult to break,” Ogbulogo stated.
He pledged the university’s support by sponsoring staff and students to
ICAN-related events and placing advertisements in the 19th Eastern
Zonal Accountants Conference brochure.
